A halal permit is a halal certificate which is an acknowledgment of the halalness of a product. This certificate is issued by the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag). Requirements and flow of halal certification application:

1. Create an account via ptsp.halal.go.id
2. Prepare halal certification application data
3. Select a Halal Product Process Companion (PPH)
4. Complete the application data with the PPH Companion
5. Submit a halal certification application via SIHALAL

Products that must have a halal certificate:

Food, Beverages, Medicines, Cosmetics, Chemical products, Biological products, Genetically engineered products, Used goods.
